The medical examination includes an interview, a tuberculosis skin test, a physical exam, urine test for gonorrhea and a blood test for syphilis. Prior to the visit or during the exam, your vaccination record will be reviewed and any required vaccinations can be administered during the same visit. The tuberculosis (TB) skin test requires a reading after 3 days. Thus, a second visit may be required for this reading to be done and the results of the other tests would be available as well. If your appointment is happens to be on a Thursday, it is okay to come in on Monday for the TB reading.
